There are two major types of veneers, the porcelain and the resin ones. Resin veneers are made in the dental office, while the porcelain veneers require a dental technician. Are you going to prepare my teeth?

Nowadays, there are computer softwares that may simulate your final smile. The best way to know if you are going to like your new teeth is a wax up and a mock up of the result, if possible in your case.
With the mock up in place you will be able to ask your dentist to make the changes you feel are needed.
How long are my veneers going to last?
High quality porcelain veneers may last up to 15 years. Resin veneers do not last that long, but can still last many years if you take good care of them and have them polished professionally every six months.
